My daughters soul

Our daughter Sydney made this beautiful Plumeria Lei

it contains over 35,000 beads and is 31 inches long. We are so proud of her. She worked so long and hard on it and it is based on a flower she designed herself. Sydney has one of the most kindest, caring and beautiful souls which you can see and feel through the aura of this lei. I think a part of Hawaii's spirt and love is in her soul and heart. It is so hard to talk about all the inner beauty of her without crying a bit. We are truly blessed

My Happy Valentines Started here.

This is a picture of my grandparents in the early 1920s. My gramma is one of my heros next to my hubby. Her name was Pauline and she had 7 children and was married at a young age. She was a mom during the depression and the way our lives have changed since hubby fell and shattered his back and we closed our business and money is tight, makes me think how easy I have it compared to her trying to feed her children in a time of a depression with no government aid and a husband who was not always home but long haul trucking. She taught me to scrapbook when I was very little and I remember spending many a night at her home. I had my own little drawer at her house with crayolas, markers, glue, scissors and tape. Tape was a big thing to a 6 year old. I still have the scrapbooks we made together. They have clippings of babies, dogs, cats and purses, and tons of glue, it is funny how my scrapbooks back then are like my life today. Scrapbooking is very personal and emotional for me, it reminds me of times past and I have a hard time finishing pages because that time is past and I can't get it back, and I then have to face it that those times are past, even though I have memories with the ones I love, it still is gone. A little sappy sounding huh.

I miss my grandparents so much. I feel blessed they met and had many lovely Valentines together to bring me to where I am today.

Bandit is on a cake.

Sydney and Chris put Bandits picture on a cake. Sydney mother-in-law aka my sister bought a printer to print out edible ink to print on sugar paper and the Syd and Chris were goofing around and put Bandit on a cake. Maddie keep saying she is gonna turn them into PETA for eating cats. I wanted one of these printers a few years ago and wasn't quite sure about them now I really want them. Why do big sisters always have the cool toys. LOL

Stevie's Senior Project

Stevie got her senior project done. She pulled it off at the last minute. She does some amazing work at crunch time. She did a awesome job on her project, the kicker is she doesn't even like coffee. Nice work Lu

We were checking out Facebook and Erin posted to everyone that Steve spelled SEX on their Words with Friends game.

Max and the ER

Oh my gosh, Max called tonight and said he was in the ER and my heart got so scared. He cut himself at work pretty bad and had to have 13 stitches it barely missed a major vein and bone. Thank the Lord he is gonna be alright. He emailed me a picture of the cut from the ER. Can't you tell his Mom is a scrapbooker. His cut made Picture Of the Day.

Happy New Year

I really really need to try and keep my blog updated.  Steve and I are the proud new grandparents of 2 new grand kitty's.  Our daughter  Sydney and her boyfriend  Chris adopted a cute little kitty named Bandit.  He is our handsome new grandson.  Our daughter Maddie adopted a cute and curious little girl named Meeko.

Steve and I just love our new grand kitty's and can't wait to get to know them better and watch them grow.

Max home from roofing.

Max came home from roofing the college.  It was like 600 squares.

We had our first home game of the season. The district took out our light polls so we have to have all our games in the day. It kinda sucks but it sure is nicer for when you are taking photos. This photo came from the coach. Our cheer coach is one awesome lady. Lookin' good ladies

nights I have been taking Lily across the street to my friends who has a male bunny so

she could get pregnant."

You never know what your kids are up to. I got some great kids.

The Golden Cricut

Well I did it. I got the Golden Cricut. Only 12 of them were made. I would like to thank my wonderful hubby Steve for buying me over 130 cartridges so that I could get enough points for the Golden Cricut. He even bought me 24 of the lites at $39 a pop in 3 weeks (you do the math). He also surprised me with admission to the Cricut Circle to seal the deal for my extra points. I would also like to thank my children for being so sweet and not rubbing it in to badly how selfish I was about buying all the carts. My girls think I need serious help. I am in the 12 x 12 program.

I felt just like Charlie and the golden ticket. I can't tell you how shinny and pretty she is. Her cartridges are even gold. I still can't believe I have one. Thanx family for being so supportive of my addiction. We can buy some groceries now. Lov mom

All during the wedding Daddy kept telling Sydney that she was not allowed to get married. This is what she thought of that idea.

Stevie's Bee Burn

OK. My kids are heater hogs and during the summer I should not be having a $300 plus electric bill on this small house of ours. So Daddy turns off the breakers at the electrical box however we live in such a old house 88 plus years, Stevie has a little plug in rotating heater. Well some how she was dancing around and burned the back of her leg on the grids of the heater. It made such a bad burn, I do not see how they can legally sell this heater. It really got hot. Anywhoo her burn looked like a honeycomb from a bee hive. Needless to say Stevie got some Henna and drew a bee and a tree on her leg. It is so cute. I only got a picture of the burn. Darn

Missing Sydney

Max

Wow, is all I can say. Our son Max had his college piano recital and he did a Beethoven piece and it was amazing. Max is not your typical pianist. He is the one with full sleeve tattoos in dickie pants and Vans and a beanie. We were so proud of him.

Maddie

Maddie and the HHR can I say anything more. The kids call it the clown car, yeah it does kinda look like a car you would see at the circus with tons of clowns coming out. Maddie loves her car, she won't admit it but she does.
